Inns Cross Market
Revitalising a rundown village
In 2014, the landlords of the Inns Cross Complex in Belfast challenged Babble to revitalise this rundown village retail and business area.
The area had a number of vacant lots and little to no football. Only the older residents remembered the history of the area with newer residents disconnected from the place and drawn to the city instead.
Babble worked on creating an Inns Cross Market brand drawing on the history of the area and bringing a more youthful and vibrant tone of voice.
We worked closely with the client to create a strategy and approach.
This involved:
Creating brand-led messaging
Developing new signage and wayfinding to mark the territory
Bringing in quality local and Northern Irish artisans, farmers and makers
Curating a range of local produce on offer from artisan foods, natural skincare and sustainable living products
Sourcing street food and drinks vendors
Making Inns Cross a Saturday morning destination
